ABOUT

Lea Winterová (b. 1975) is a contemporary visual artist based in Prague. Her practice interrogates the intersection of digital collage and post-surrealistic configurations of form, employing the female figure and visage as both primary material and central motif. Her academic background in theology and psychotherapy establishes a rigorous analytical subtext for her visual investigations. Winterová consciously renounces the decorative functions of the image; her work deconstructs cultural codes, normative bodily schemas, and societal dogmas that dictate the expectations imposed upon the female role. Drawing from her expertise in fashion design and brand management, she enforces strict control over scale, structural density, and the visual authority of the work—wherein the woman exists as an autonomous, recontextualized entity upon the digital plane.

"I isolate, segment, and reconfigure fragments of reality upon the digital plane, subjecting them to a self-governing formal order. Within this structural framework, the woman exists as an autonomous entity, entirely insulated from external narratives and societal dogmas."

Context & Advisory
Visual Semiotics & Figural Construction – Research in human figure representation and the configuration of the body within media and pop-cultural apparatuses. My practice draws on early collaborations in fashion styling (Renata Langmannová, Jitka Molavcová) and editorial art direction (FashionMap, Protišedi, Modissimo).

Material Research (rec. project) – Founder of the independent project rec., focused on the conceptual deconstruction of textile forms and the architectural principles of everyday objects.

Analytical Framework – I utilize my academic background in psychotherapeutic theory as a conceptual lens to explore visual perception, the subconscious, and the systemic deconstruction of form in my contemporary visual work.

Professional Advisory – Two decades of experience in strategic consultancy, focused on the architecture of personal identity and executive presence. Serving both international organizations (D.A.S. Rechtsschutz AG, PepsiCo) and private professional entities, I specialized in the synthesis of visual identity and character. My practice bridged the gap between inner intent and outward projection, leveraging cross-disciplinary insights gained from collaborations with C-suite executives, legal experts, and independent creative professionals to establish authoritative personal systems.
